    Hi all,

So I'm looking to have a tasting event in March, but I need an open space/loft or gallery type of venue. I'm on a very tight budget and I want to know how I should barter with these venues to get them to waive the rental fee. If I offer them free catering services for their next event does that mean I have to cover the food costs as well? or would it be poor etiquette to suggest they cover the food costs?

?????? If the rental is lets say $200.00 then give them $200.00 worth of product or services . Thats what bartering is or was.

See if they will co-sponsor the gig and have a table/sales person promoting the space.....
