Baby corncobs look cute, sure, but I don't care for them. Does anybody here like them?

I toss  with mini zuchinni  mini, patti pan squash, baby carrots in a vege mix saute in butter and herbs. I also use in stir fry and oriental dishes. I use a brand called Roland I found them consistant, same size and quality.

I absolutely love them for some reason! Great in stir-fry and all kinds of salads. Every time I see one I think of Tom Hanks chewing at each little baby niblet in "Big" hahaha!

I have only tried them a few times. I've found them too much like eating a piece of wood. Maybe the ones I had were too mature or something.

I like real corn.  We had corn on the cob with dinner tonight.  Pressure-steamed 4 minutes in the pressure cooker...yummm.

For sure, amazingrace. That's a whole different subject and worth a lot of discussion.

Roasted with lemon juice, black and red pepper, butter and salt /img/vbsmilies/smilies/licklips.gif

Prefer mine picked about three minutes ago, that's 20 minutes after I put the water on to boil, shuck, remove the silks, into the boiling water for 30 seconds, out and onto the plate with butter and salt.

I "butter" my corn with soft butter on a piece of bread so the butter cannot "get away".

Yeti - I'm with you on the mini corn - dislike it.  For me, it has very little flavour.  I'd rather have the full grown version with lashings of butter and cracked pepper. Finger food at its finest. Messy all the way to the elbows but it actually tastes like corn.  Not like those wee li'l baby corn. Icky.  And with full blown corn, you can enjoy it for hours as you get it out from between your teeth /img/vbsmilies/smilies/biggrin.gif

I see the baby corn in the fruit & veg dept and turn my head the other way -  refuse to buy it now I've tried it.  Sweet and large fresh fullgrown corn is hard to beat.  Although 3 others in the family won't eat it - they are missing out big time. More for me and my daughter hehe.
