I'm autistic. There's a lot of misinformation out there. I'm neither banging my head all the time, nor an Aspergers genius. I'm of average intelligence.

I have two friends whose sons have autism.  One is at the low end of the spectrum, he is non verbal and will always need care.  The other has some issues here and there but has done well in school and he will be able to hold a job, etc when he gets older.

Autism is very misunderstood.. thanks for posting this, Yeti.

Parenthood, a new show....can see on HULU, really hits the nail on the head.  The writers have addressed some of the family shtuff, which many times are just left unseen.
I prefer saying my son has autism....he is much more than a diagnosis.
