Are "swan grapes" the same as gooseberries?

I was at the produce market today and saw a new item on offer: "swan grapes." A Google search is not turning up anything. They were spherical, the size of cherry tomatoes (maybe a little larger), and were a yellow-green. They looked like gooseberries to me.

Are "swan grapes" a thing or maybe the person labeling the product didn't speak English and something got mixed up in translation?

No. Gooseberries are kiwi fruits.

Swamp grapes are Muscadine Grapes.

I have seen people sell them as Italian grapes for high price. I am not sure you can find Muscadine Grapes in Italy.

I second the fact that gooseberries are definitely not the same as kiwifruit.

It looks like the mystery is solved! They must have been mislabeled swamp grapes. They looked exactly like this.

Mystery solved! A Google image search of "swamp grapes" looks like they were green swamp (aka "muscadine") grapes. The person must have mislabeled them as "swan grapes."

Marketing language.
