Anyone have a good recipe for slow cooker chili?
I mean a REALLY good recipe.
nope, sorry Abe...mine really sucks./img/vbsmilies/smilies/biggrin.gif
Chili is one of those things for which a slow cooker really shines, Abe. One of the few things, IMO.
Chili is a low & slow cooking process no matter what recipe you use. So no need to specify slow cooker. Just use the recipe you're happy with.
Use any good recipe , just make sure you start with uncooked soaked beans. Not canned
Beans? In Chili? Obviously you're not from Texas /img/vbsmilies/smilies/rollsmile.gif
Here we go. /img/vbsmilies/smilies/laser.gif
Here in Florida and New York we made it with and withoutt beans. In fact even canned stuff in supermarkets can be purchased both ways..Pintp, red kidney and black beans are used. Also a whitet chili with navy and even fava beans. Never even been to Texas
What style of chili do you have in mind? Last batch I did in a slow cooker was a chili verde type:
Texas red? Ground beef and beans? I did a lamb with black bean chili a while back that turned out quite tasty.
