    Hi Everyone-

I'm doing research for my forthcoming cookbook titled, Boy Eats World! A Private Chef Cooks Simple Gourmet. I've included a recipe that was a favorite from childhood called Watergate Pie. I have been able to find out that it came about sometime in the mid 70's when Kraft Foods introduced pistachio flavored instant pudding. I've searched and searched for the answer but it's eluding me. Anyone have any theories? I'd greatly appreciate the help. Thanks everybody!

p.s check out my website for great food and cocktail recipes I posted to share. http://www.chefdavidlawrence.com

I haven't been to any posted sites. But I did see the hotel. I would check out the watergate bakery. Very popular and has made famous some products. Could be watergate pastry.
