Amateur oven - gas/electricity

Hi

First post here.

I am an amateur baker looking to buy a new oven.

I have always used electrical convection ovens but now live in Mexico where its all gas. I find they bake uneven and its hard for me to control the heat from the bottom.

I make baguette, croissants and other breads. Only for our own consumption

The selection of ovens here is limited so would need to import from us or get a small professional oven.

My question is
1. Will a deck oven work with viennoiserie or do i need convection?
2. Will a better gas convection oven bake like an electrical one and can you recommend a small one?
(Gas is almost free here)
