This is the absolute best Chef's knife ever. The blade is thick enough to rock even with the fattest fingers, thin enough to skin a 4 pound salmon fillet, hard enough to tackle scores of pounds of beef, rugged enough to bring on the line on the busiest of nights, and sharp enough (provided decent care) to slice the ripest of tomatoes. It will take care of 95% of your workday and last indefinately with minimal maintanence. I've used mine daily in commercial kitchens for almost 9 years and the edge is still brand new. Go German!
