Pros - Size, wheels, solid construction
Cons - no safety features, few attachments
I own a personal chef company called Cooking For Life. We make all sorts of breads, fresh butter (out of fresh cream) and many other items. I was looking for a mixer that not only looked good but one that would stand up to the rigors of daily use. I make bread, which seems to be the most taxing job, at least 3 times a week. I typically make whole grain breads which are even more difficult to kneed to a perfect consistency. My Viking mixer that is now 4 years old has never skipped a beat. It's tough. Sure it's expensive, and if you get the 7qt model it's big, but it will do whatever you ask of it time and time again. So, if you want to spoil yourself, get the Viking. I will say that the Kitchen Aid mixers are quite nice, they do have more attachments and all of that, however, nothing handles bread like my Viking.
