Mama was born in Tupelo, Mississippi and grew up in East Texas and Southern Louisiana. Later, living in places like Memphis, Tennessee and Austin, Texas, she developed a style of cooking all her own. A true Southerner at heart, she was The Country Gourmet, cooking up good ol? country food for her family and friends. Her recipes were simple to prepare and delightful to dine upon.
