Pros - Beautifully made, terrific personal service
Cons - Nothing negative at all
It was a delight ordering my board from John. he was very helpful discussing the pros and cons of adding feet (I did and I like them.)

He was friendly and helpful to all my enquiries, then made and shipped the board extremely quickly.

I have the 24" x 18" x 2" size of this end-grain maple and it is gorgeous  on the counter and, more importantly, a joy to use.

Can't recommend the board and John more highly.

Pros - High quality construction with feet and beveled edges. Nice arrangement of the edge grain.
Cons - None really other than its bulk. But so what.
This is my first high class cutting board and my blades seem to stay sharp longer.  Other than that I just don't know how to review the board.  There are neither voids nor knots in the wood.  It's overall beauty will provide a nice accent to your kitchen especially if the board is oiled with "board butter", a mixture of mineral oil and beeswax.  The Boardsmith carries the product or you can make your own to apply.

I ordered and paid for a board April 2.  It is now June 1 and I've never received any reply (confirmation, news of delay, etc,.) from Mr. Smith. I called him in mid April and he gave me some song and dance story about delays.  I called him again last week and he said he's getting to it.
