This knife is so so nice. I got it some time around Christmas - doing personal shopping when I should have been doing Christmas shopping- and I use it frequently. I cook professionally, so you can imagine how much I use it....maybe an hour every day but Monday. I still haven't had to sharpen it or even use a honing steel on it and it's still the the sharpest steel blade I own. This knife is also beautiful. I sometimes consider it my show piece, although it's size can lead laymen to become unimpressed .It's super expensive though. Shuns are cool, but if you don't want to spend too much, buy a Mac or some other Japanese steel.
