  • This stunningly beautiful line of cutlery features the look and benefits of Damascus steel, yet without its rusting problems. The Damascus-look blade profile reduces sticking and results in less damage to the food being cut and faster prep times.

    3/5,
Pros - Amazing for veggies & fruits w/large surface area. Substitute for a Chinese cleaver (sort of)
Cons - Blade is too wide/awkward for most slicing tasks, veggies or otherwise. Edge is incongruent with blade
Attribute-wise, this knife has massive surface area (nearly as wide as a Chinese cleaver), a thin tapered blade (which does not align well the the 16 deg. edge) and aside from the tip, very little edge curvature. Aside from the incongruent edge, none of this is a real problem so long as one understands the limited purpose of this knife. More specifically, the massive belly of the knife and thin profile are phenomenal at cutting through more rotund produce. In this circumstance, the ability to quickly slice is precluded and the stability of a wide blade and slim cutting profile are ideal.

All that said, this is the zeppelin of knives. blade is too fat to maneuver, edge is too flat to slice, too thin for duty work, too smooth for some veggies and too big for pairing

Will keep this knife for potatoes, eggplant, papaya and squash. Aside from that, another knife can do it better

Pros - made for me and i'm pretty sure I can cut a tree down with it
it's a great knife if you like a strong heavy blade, it has kept it's edge very well.
