I use this cutting board almost exclusively for meat or fish to cut raw or carve a small roast. It is dishwasher safe which makes an easy clean up job. The rubber grips run all along the sides which helps not to trap dirt. In the 2 years I've had it it has not discolored at all and has very faint knife marks in it.
