Pros - Inexpensive. Very simple to use and to clean. Attractively designed. Does the job well.
Cons - Bowl takes up a lot of freezer space. "2 quart" capacity is wishful thinking. Loud.
I'm heading into my 4th summer with this factory refurbished machine. It has been reliable and does the job it is intended to do very well, though a bit loudly. I use it heavily during the summer months and it is still going strong. As I find with most Cuisinart products, the design is simple, which means less opportunity for things to go wrong. It also looks nice, which is good, since it lives permanently on my counter.

I'm sure there has to be some trick I have yet to learn for extracting the ice cream that has frozen hard to the walls of the inside of the bowl. The plastic tools Cuisinart suggests you use simply do not work for this and a metal spoon scratches the surface. If anyone has the secret, let me know.
