I recently purchased a pair of 10" Mezzaluna knives and neither came with any type of sheath. They're way too sharp to put in a drawer unsheathed or I'll lose my fingers the next time I put my hand in there, and I can't find any sheaths online anywhere.
Anyone have any storage suggestions?

I've had to replace almost all my pots and pans since going to induction last summer. I've become enamored of Le Creuset's tri-ply line. They heat evenly and clean up very well. Price is intermediate between Tramontina and All-Clad, but performance is better than either, IMHO. I think anyone...
The 8.6kW is likely the combined total for all four burners on high, making the average 2.15 kW per burner. So any savings won't be as dramatic as you've projected.
However, an induction plate does have a lot of positives. It heats the pan more quickly than a conventional electric burner...
Loved The Name of the Rose. The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana is in my To-Read pile.
I'm trying to get through Norman Mailer's Ancient Evenings. He's supposed to be such a good writer, I thought I should read at least one of his books. This is my third attempt. Finally, on page 39, I...
There's a private game preserve here in NH which stocks European wild boar, reportedly 12,000-15,000 of them. Occasionally they escape and are hit by cars or hunted by local hunters. In addition, there are scattered populations of feral pigs, which are a completely different thing.
Excellent ideas! English muffin bread, Canadian bacon, and an egg poached or over-easy. With cheese, and a pseudo-Hollandaise lemon custard. I'm going to try this as soon as the frozen pipes in my kitchen thaw out.
KYH, I am definitely not a sensible human.
Siduri, I will be happy to ship you a box of snow. A very large box of snow.
DC, thanks for the reminder about S&P. I have mills for both right now. Will have to dig out the shakers from wherever they're hiding. I have a new induction range, so...
In the nearly 3 years since this thread was started, convection microwaves (CMW) have become much more popular. I recently bought one and used the convection feature to bake appetizers for a dinner party while my regular oven was in use for a roast. Otherwise, I've used it mostly for reheating...
Looks gorgeous but too cold for sensible human habitation. Expecting 20-30 below this weekend.
Thanks for the well wishes, DC. I'm growing lettuce and salad greens in 2 Aerogardens. I should be able to manage a simple salad. Anything to avoid eating microwaved out-of-a-frozen-box...
