    Dedicated kitchen brigadier with goals and aspirations to one day run the show and pour my soul into a menu that I can be proud of.

    In the fall of 2014, I left the nursing field at age 23 to find something I could passionately dedicate myself to. Being burned out on nursing home jobs, I decided to try something new and refreshing to ease my mind while trying to decide on a new career to pursue. That November I was hired on at a nice bistro as a food runner. On my first day, while witnessing the dinner service in the kitchen, I knew what I wanted to pursue. In my short but monumental time spent at this restaurant (3 months) I managed to work up from foodrunner, occasional "stagiaire", the main expediter, and finally line cook. I like to think that my enthusiasm and eagerness to learn helped me to move up and become a line cook at a high volume fine dining establishment. I've come to realize that as long as a person is passionate, humble, and willing to work harder than he or she has ever worked before, there is always opportunity in a kitchen at a good restaurant driven by a respectable chef. This is why I'm staying.
