Hello, did you EVER get a satisfactory answer to your onion dilemma? There were a million personal experiences and people telling you to explore Allergy vs Intolerance instead of simply recommending a substitute. I loved onions, but I have learned to cook without them (also Beans, Mushrooms, Cabbage, Peanuts, Asparagus, and roasted Elephant Garlic). What did do for that dinner?
