    soups are good to make, theyre often cheap and you can make loads and freeze them for later... on a weekend just dedicate the afternoon to cooking a soup and a stew/chili and portion it out and freeze it. google some recipes - dont be scared to give some things a try! something like cauliflower...

    agree with what everyone else has said... and its so important to involve them in everything. i was a nanny in the netherlands and the kids i had to look after werent keen on eating much fruit or veg at all... i couldnt believe the things they ate sometimes... there was always fruit and veg on...

    you could do a nice big roast - depends on what kinda meat you like but pork and chicken are fantastic, as is beef - play with some marinades for the meats, roast up sweet potato, regular potato, pumpkin, beetroot, red onion, turnip, parsnip... whatever you fancy! doing roast pork with veges...

    bircher museli is great, and takes about 10mins to prepare the night before... its basically just everything youd put in your museli in the morning, left in the fridge overnight. it sounds a bit dodgy but is really really nice! google come recipes as i dunno how much you want to make or how long...

    everyones saying onions... and i have to agree but to narrow it further i use alot more spring onions (scallions, for the americans playing at home) than other varieties... theyre not as sharp and are delicious griddled with a bit of olive oil with chopped zucchini, carrot and asparagus... or...
