This recipe made a beautiful cookie and tasty cookie except for the aftertaste. With a little googling and searching online for what caused my cookies to taste weird I’m leaning toward too much baking soda or baking powder or both? ‍♂️ I will check the conversions again to makes sure...

What you see in the recipe is all used. Only difference I converted everything to ml and grams because I don’t have all the proper measuring tools

Thanks everyone for the wanderful advice. Could vanilla extract cause it to be bitter? It’s not actually a bitter taste. I don’t know how to explain the flavor it leaves but it’s definitely an unpleasant after taste that remains on the palate

I know this thread is a bit old but I googled why does my cookies have a bitter aftertaste and this is the thread I come to. So why do my cookies have a bitter aftertaste on the back of my tongue. A some what nasty taste that seems to be everlasting.
