  • Sure, it's only half mine in a way :). If you look on epicurious, there is a recipe for small pear almond cakes. I didn't use their recipe for the pears because I thought It would have more color using red wine. I used Zinfandel, OJ, orange zest, vanilla bean, star anise, cinnamon stick and cloves. I reduced the poaching liquid to use as the sauce. I mainly made it for a special because I love Seckel pears, just so cute :)
